These types of surdos do not have a resonator head and thanks to this they reduce their weight while becoming ideal instruments for storing in small spaces as they can be stacked between the different sizes of the series.
The surdo has an aluminium shell and has 6 tension divisions. It comes standard with a nappa (korino) head, which consists of a synthetic head covered by a layer of nappa. It is an ideal surdo for children due to its very low weight (1.97 kg), although it can also be used by an adult. We recommend that it be played with a soft-headed mallet.
The instrument is of the Izzo brand. A Brazilian brand specialized in musical instruments. Reference Izzo IZ9890.
