E tuning, ding on E. Scale: (E), A3, B3, C4, D, E, F, G, A

This scale is one of the most common, it has all the natural notes, with the chords of E minor, C major, A minor, B minor.

The name "Aeolian" corresponds to the aeolian mode of the Greek modes (the 3 or 4 refer to the octave, the 3 is the central octave of the piano.)

The SOMNI handpans are tuned in A 440 Hz and perfectly calibrated in their respective scales.

At the moment, instruments with 9 notes and 10 notes are offered, in different scales. It is planned to progressively expand both in scales offered and in the number of notes of the instrument. Each instrument is the result of an instant, of a material, of thermal and artisanal processes, difficult to reproduce, and offers its own unique sound. All SOMNI instruments have a heat treatment that increases the resistance to oxidation of the steel, keeps the tuning stable and contributes to defining the timbre.

It should be played exclusively with the hands, not with sticks or mallets.
