Description

This aluminum Izzo surdo comes standard with a 190 micron thick P2 white head.

Its diameter is 18" with which you can usually perform the third or dobra surdo function. Its height is 45 cm. A common size for Bahia instruments.

This surdo has 8 tension points and has chrome hardware. Its weight is approximately 4.3 kg and the Izzo reference is IZ7996.

If you prefer to have fewer harmonics, we recommend installing a double-layer head or gluing foam to the inside of the surdo under the beater head. This technique is widely used by some Afro blocos in Salvador de Bahía (Brazil).
