Description

This aluminum Izzo surdo comes standard with a 190 micron P2 white head. It has 6 tension points and chrome fittings.

Its 16" diameter makes it perfect for high tunings and performs the function of a third or dobra surdo. The height of 45 cm is characteristic of the surdos from Salvador de Bahía. The weight of this instrument is only 3.86kg.

If you want to do without the harmonics of the instrument, you can install a double layer head or glue a foam inside the surdo near the beater head. This is typical of some blocos from Salvador de Bahía (Brazil) that seek a warmer and less metallic sound.
